The 16th-century monasteries on the slopes of the iconic Popocatepetl volcano in Mexico are UNESCO World Heritage sites with 14 parts. Built by the Augustinians, Franciscans, and Dominicans, they symbolize the evangelization and colonization efforts that shaped northern Mexico.

The Old San Jan Historic District is a National Historic Landmark District listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Old San Juan is the oldest settlement in Puerto Rico and the historic colonial section of San Juan.

The Historic Monuments Zone of Querétaro is located in Querétaro City, in central Mexico. It is an exceptional example of a colonial town whose layout symbolizes its multi-ethnic population. It is also endowed with a wealth of outstanding buildings, notably from the 17th and 18th centuries.
